- Completing a progressing hose lay with water flowing from the nozzle
- Completing a shelter drill exercise
- Wearing personnel protective equipment firefighters wear
- Donning a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)
- Completing a modified US Forest Service pack test
- Carrying a ladder
- Meeting with, and discussing with firefighters about a future career
