Supporting students and giving back to the community — that’s our motto.

Copper Mountain College Foundation provides financial resources to support programs, activities, and facilities that maximize educational opportunities. Find out what the CMCF provides and how you can help!

Student Services

KC Special

Copper Mountain College Foundation works hard to support programs, activities, and facilities at CMC all year round in an effort to improve student life. With that in mind, the Foundation is excited to support and offer the KC Special.

Named for Karen Coghill, a 39-year employee who retired from CMC in 2018, the KC Special provides a hearty bowl of soup for every student throughout the day. Any current student can walk into Jorge’s and ask for the KC Special, no questions asked.

These meals contribute to student success, allowing them to concentrate on their workload and not their rumbling tummy. The KC Special reminds us that not only do we need to feed the mind, but often we need to feed the body.

To date nearly 40,000 meals have been served.

Bus Transportation

CMC focuses on providing students a safe place to focus on their continued education. That’s why the Copper Mountain College Foundation partners with the Basin Transit (BT) to offer free monthly bus passes for every student at CMC.

By giving students the ability to safely travel to and from classes when school begins, we ensure that they can focus on their studies for the betterment of their future. We’re just happy we can help.

Neverland Childcare

Children are the future, and the Copper Mountain College Foundation understands this more than anything. In fact, CMCF recognizes that some of the students at Copper Mountain may have children of their own or maybe a younger sibling to watch over.

That’s why CMCF supports Neverland Childcare Center — so CMC students and the local community can have their childcare needs met. It leases the building at a reduced rate to maintain quality childcare for our staff and students nearby.

Bus Transportation

Last year, 627 monthly bus passes plus 400 daily bus passes for students were purchased through CMCF. This allows students to ride throughout the basin at no cost to them. We are committed to providing safe, reliable transportation options to all students.
