What Will You Do as a Nurse Assistant?
The CMC Nurse Assistant certificate program gives you the training and education needed to work as nurse aide or nursing assistant. You’ll focus on helping patients with their daily activities, like:
- Eating
- Bathing
- Administering medicine
- Moving patients
- Gathering medical supplies
- Answering patient calls
Real World Experience
Be the empathetic presence for patients who may be scared or hurt. It is a big responsibility, and it takes practice. At Copper Mountain, you develop your interpersonal skills alongside your clinical ones, including documenting services, writing reports, and assisting medical personnel with patient care. Copper Mountain focuses on a training program that parallels real-world scenarios. Doing so means you gain training for experiences you’ll see on the job. All this will be from professors with years of experience that you can learn from.
For Compassionate People
These jobs are fulfilling—and stressful. You’ll call on your compassion as you assist medical staff by providing care, maintaining safety, and helping with a patient’s daily life. You’ll help patients feel comfortable by making sure their needs are met. For a compassionate person looking to help others in practical and emotional ways, a career as a nurse assistant is rewarding.
